SolarNode was founded in 2024 by a team of aerospace engineers, distributed systems experts, and renewable energy researchers who saw an opportunity to fundamentally rethink computing infrastructure.
The idea was simple: why build data centers on Earth, bound by geography and terrestrial power constraints, when we could deploy compute nodes in orbit—powered 24/7 by unfiltered solar energy and free from single points of failure?
Today, we're working with launch partners, developing our first orbital prototypes, and building the ground station network that will make orbital computing a reality. We secured €2.5M in seed funding from leading deep tech investors who share our vision of infrastructure beyond borders.
